Why do you think New Pretty Town advocates bungee jumping?

I think New Pretty Town advocates bungee jumping for safety. But everything is so safe in that town anyways, why would they need bungee cords in case of a fire? I think the people in New Pretty Town actually uses the bungee for fun, instead of emergencys.

History about bungee jumping:
modern bungee jumping as we know it today started on April 1, 1979 when a group of people from Oxford Univerity Dangerous Sports Club jumped from 245-Clifton Suspension Bridge in Bristol, England. "best friends forever"

Characterization Tally: Tally is a "ugly"; She has a best friend named Peris, that she has lost, until she herself becomes a pretty. She will be turning 16 in 3 months, and once she does she will be happy to reunite with her best friend. Tally is a very adventures person. She is up to anything you put out in front of her.

Characterization Peris: Peris is a "pretty"; he lives is Garbo Mansion along with all the other pretties. Their idea of fun is Make Noise, Have Fun, and just plain out live life. Peris has changed since he has been a pretty. He is now more "snobby", stuck up, and doesnt have much of a heart like he used too. he has became brain washed by the other pretties.

I feel that the friendship between Tally and Peris is not as strong as it used to be. I can tell that Tally would like it to be a strong relationship again, but Peris doesnt really care. I dont belive Peris thinks they are true best friends, because he is a pretty, and Tally is a ugly. Tally on the other hand, cannot wait until she turns pretty, because she will reunite with Peris.

I think Tally decided to wear a pig mask to a white tie party because if she hadent worn a mask, she wouldve reveled her so called "ugliness". She was afraid she wouldnt be able to see Peris, by getting in trouble for being a ugly at a pretty party. Why did she wear a PIG mask? i have no clue. shes weird. :)

history of masks:
Many people have used masks throught time. For celebrations, parties, speacial occasions, holidays, or even just for fun, people have worn masks. During the Chinese New Year, the Chinese people usually celebrate by going to a parade, and wearing masks. I have never had a friend like Peris, who has abandoned me after moving. I have had friends that have moved, but i always found a way to stay in touch. :)

Interface Ring- This ring allows you to work basically everything in the 'future' without this ring, you cannot, for example, work elevators. They say if you do not have you ring on, then your basically "invisible" in the future world.

Toothbrush Pill- Tally uses this toothbrush pill in the beginning of the story, before setting out to find Peris. A toothbrush pill is a pill that you chew up, instead of brushing your teeth. Its suppose to have the same affect as if you were brushing your teeth. I wouldnt use it though because its gross. :)

Cacophony- A cacophony is a mixture of different sounds in one place.

Before Reading-

How would you define beauty? What would the world be like if everyone was "beautiful"?


I think something is beautiful is more than just looks. Its more about personality, the way people act, and who you are. Sure its nice to be beautiful in looks, but thats not all thats in a person. If everyone in the world was beautiful, the world wouldnt have much problem as to crime and littering.

Venus Fly Trap: Beutiful, but ugly in the inside for being cruel to bugs. :)






Daddy Long Legs: ugly, but are helpful to the enviorment and humans by eating Mosquitos wich containe sickness.
